The Saratoga Sparks 16U Orange team embarked on UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa the week of July 4th to compete in The Blue Chip Basketball's USA Invitational at Penn State. Over 300 AAU teams participate in this NCAA-certified event. This was a perfect opportunity for the Saratoga Sparks 16U Orange girls to display their talents in front of hundreds of college coaches that attended this prestigious LIVE period showcase event. Going 3 and 3 with an average margin of loss by 3 points and an average margin of wins by 20 points or better, the Saratoga Sparks 16U team was poised to deliver some impressive performances in this four day competition played on 27 courts in five different venues. Gym Ray Challenge Website: Congratulations to Sydnie Rosales (not pictured) for being named the 2010 Most Valuable GymRat. She brought calm to the court, particularly against a pressing defense applied by the New York Gauchos in the event's championship game. Her smooth play was on display here. She is good in transition, advancing the ball very well. Has exceptional range, even beyond the 3-point stripe.
