| Welcome to the 2008
Thoroughbred Summer Classic. This year’s event sold out quite
quickly and we are very excited to provide you and your team
with a great weekend of basketball in beautiful Saratoga
Springs. The schedule is tight and we have done our best to
accommodate each of your requests. The attached schedule is
final and will not be changed unless an error is found. If you
have any questions please contact us at
information@saratogasparks.org or contact our
Tournament Director at
sedick@nycap.rr.com. Please remember to take advantage of
all that Saratoga has to offer when planning your day. We have
done our best to alert everyone of your arrival. |

| Tournament
Rules |
- 16 minute
halves (stop time)
- 10 second
backcourt, no shot clock
- 5 Minute
half-time
- 3 Minute OT
- There will be
a 5 minute warm-up before each game. If games
are behind schedule, the clock will be set for 5
minutes at the conclusion of the previous game.
- The game clock
will run during the last five minutes of a game
if a team has a twenty point lead.
- Play the
"release" on foul shots (NCAA rules).
- No one & one
at 7 fouls. Double bonus at 10 team fouls.

- 2 full, 2
thirty, to be used at anytime. No carry-over to OT
- 1 full
time-out per Overtime.
- Head coach may
call time-out from bench
- Clock will not
stop on a made basket in the last minute of
play.
- Home team
supplies game ball.
- Home team
provides official scorer and book unless waived
by the Head Coach . Official scorer must sit at
scorer's table. Visiting team may also have
unofficial scorer and book keeper at scorer's
table.
- Each team will
be responsible for bringing pinnies or
reversible jerseys that are different in color
from their team uniforms.
- All other New
York State/NCAA rules apply.
- Jewelry rule
fully enforced.
